BomPreço Brazil: The Organization's Digital Sales Transformation with Alephee

From Goiânia to all of Brazil: Discover BomPreço Autopeças’ Expansion Strategy

Following market trends, BomPreço Autopeças realized that e-commerce was no longer a distant future, but a present already knocking at its door. After all, the brand’s main competitors were already active on Brazil’s top marketplaces.

With this in mind, the company thoroughly evaluated the leading e-commerce platforms to decide where to begin. Its main goal: expand sales to other Brazilian states and strengthen the reputation BomPreço already had in Goiás.

The Digital Sales Transformation at BomPreço

BomPreço discovered Alephee through Nakata, the largest national manufacturer of parts for motorcycles, cars, and trucks, specializing in suspension and brakes, who is also an Alephee customer. Thanks to this introduction, BomPreço scheduled a meeting with one of our sales consultants to learn more about the platform’s features and benefits.

Once expectations were aligned and goals defined for short, medium, and long term, the project kicked off with Alephee. BomPreço already had some products listed on Mercado Livre, so this initial phase proceeded differently than with other clients.

The primary focus was organizing existing listings on Mercado Livre to be integrated with Alephee. Thanks to Alephee's bulk import tool, this process was fully optimized, enabling centralized management through our platform.

Once this "housekeeping" was complete, Alephee, BomPreço, and Mercado Livre collaborated to streamline the onboarding process.

Ricardo Silva, BomPreço’s E-commerce Manager, explains: “It took about three months of teamwork to reorganize our Mercado Livre listings, and Alephee’s support was vital in clarifying issues along the way.”

This catalog optimization was crucial to making the store appear more professional and appealing. Listings with high demand were prioritized and updated—those with low interest were deactivated.

BomPreço’s Ongoing Partnership with Alephee

Over four years of collaboration, Renato Passaglia, CFO, highlights: “Having Alephee’s support in our e-commerce journey is vital. Beyond bulk-uploading listings, the platform simplifies inventory management by syncing daily with Mercado Livre to track each product’s turnover.”

Currently, BomPreço has 32,000 items to digitize, with 9,000 already listed through Alephee on Mercado Livre. Passaglia notes: “Over the last three months, we sold more than R$ 500k, with sales growing by 15% month over month. Our mission now is to list all products on marketplaces and double that baseline within six months.”

Ricardo Silva adds: “Alephee is comprehensive not only integrating with Mercado Livre but also offering in-depth reports showing regions for potential growth and areas for improvement. These insights are essential for expanding our market share.”

To reach this year’s and next year’s goals, BomPreço has expanded its e-commerce team. Beyond marketplace presence, they now maintain their own e-commerce site.

To sustain strong sales volume, BomPreço emphasizes customer engagement, addressing doubts and offering product kits to meet consumer needs.

Expanding Horizons

Today, online sales make up 3.5% of BomPreço’s business. In addition to their online presence, they operate brick-and-mortar stores throughout the Goiânia region.

Since launching on Mercado Livre, BomPreço expanded into other Brazilian states, with most off-Goiás customers coming from the Southeast. “Being on Mercado Livre was fundamental for business growth. As Brazil’s leading auto parts marketplace, its relevance and credibility help attract new customers and boost sales.”

Preparing for Fulfillment Excellence

Next year, BomPreço plans to adopt Mercado Livre’s Fulfillment service ("full"), currently used only in São Paulo. With same-day or next-business-day delivery for orders placed before noon, they aim to roll it out in the Northeast by mid-2024. Additional plans include expansion to Amazon.
