The Journey of Auto Speed: From Accessory Store to E-commerce Auto Parts Leader
Auto Speed has been in the market for 11 years, originally aiming to fill gaps in the car accessories market. Over the years, however, the company gradually transitioned into the auto parts sector, focusing increasingly on selling high-quality mechanical parts.
Rauni Jacomel, E-commerce Manager at Auto Speed, highlights that one of the company’s major differentiators is its partnerships with large national and international companies. These alliances are essential to delivering high-quality automotive parts to end consumers, ensuring safety and reliability with every purchase.
With solid partnerships in the market, the company has become a reference in the automotive segment on the Mercado Livre platform. Operating under a direct-to-consumer model, Auto Speed is committed to offering products that guarantee durability and safety. This commitment has led the company to celebrate seven years as an official store on Latin America's largest marketplace.
Digital Sales Transformation with Alephee
Auto Speed was one of the first automotive companies in Brazil to adopt the Alephee platform, a decision influenced by one of its partners, Bosch. Integration with Alephee allowed the company to significantly increase the number of listings on the platform.
Rauni Jacomel explains that before integrating with Alephee, the company had around 18,000 listings on Mercado Livre. After the integration, this number rose to 50,000, with approximately 40,000 currently active. In the coming months and years, the company plans to add even more listings to the e-commerce platform.
Rauni also mentions that before Alephee, the company sold only about 5% of its listings, mostly to repeat customers. Today, thanks to Alephee’s support and the maturity gained over the years, Auto Speed sells around 65% of its listings on Mercado Livre.
Challenges and Solutions in Integration with Alephee
From the beginning, Auto Speed faced challenges such as a lack of team maturity and the need to understand the e-commerce market. Integration with Alephee was essential in overcoming these obstacles by providing agility in cataloging and product management.
“Alephee has always been part of our evolution. Since the beginning of the partnership, it has been fundamental for our entry into Mercado Livre and for expanding the reach of our listings on the e-commerce platform.” Rauni Jacomel, E-commerce Manager
Auto Speed began with a small team and had to quickly learn about pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and product listings. One of the biggest challenges was understanding how to create effective listings from photo selection to SEO strategies that boost listing performance on e-commerce platforms.
Alephee’s Role in Auto Speed’s Growth
Alephee played a crucial role in Auto Speed’s growth, especially in optimizing cataloging and inventory management processes. The platform integration helped Auto Speed improve its performance on Mercado Livre, tripling both its number of listings and revenue. The ability to easily connect with manufacturers and manage multiple product variations was a key differentiator that helped Auto Speed stand out in the market.
“Alephee was essential in helping us level up, offering easy cataloging and efficient integrations for inventory and pricing management.” Rauni Jacomel, E-commerce Manager
Currently, one of the company’s major challenges is dealing with the compatibility functionality on Mercado Livre. This feature requires sellers to specify which model, year, and vehicle each part is compatible with.
Although Alephee’s solution has helped Auto Speed better define these matches, challenges remain, as this requirement is relatively new on the platform and even manufacturers struggle to provide this information with 100% accuracy.
Constant Growth: Auto Speed’s Expansion Plan
The partnership with Alephee boosted Auto Speed’s daily orders from an average of 50–60 to over 300. In five and a half years using Alephee’s solutions, Auto Speed nearly tripled both its order volume and revenue.
In the coming years, Auto Speed plans to expand into Latin America, starting with Argentina the birthplace of both Alephee and Mercado Livre which gives the company more confidence to take this next step.
Additionally, in the medium term, the company plans to launch its own e-commerce site, aiming to diversify its presence across online platforms. This will allow Auto Speed to expand into new regions of Brazil, as its current reach is concentrated in the Southeast and South.
The Alephee and Auto Speed Partnership
With expansion plans and a focus on brand strength, Auto Speed’s future looks promising and the company continues to count on Alephee’s support. Our platform is constantly evolving to offer the best possible solutions for the automotive segment throughout Latin America.
“Alephee’s biggest advantage is facilitating communication between manufacturers and sellers, providing greater agility and transparency throughout all business stages.” Rauni Jacomel, E-commerce Manager
Today, Alephee is the only platform that digitally connects brands, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and service providers positioning itself as the only fully interconnected end-to-end solution for the evolution of automotive businesses in e-commerce platforms.
